In Niamey

Early morning walk around the block in Niamey.
You just need a few minutes to see so many issues.
Child labour first of all. These boys (13?14?) had flashlights on their carts, meaning they left when it was dark. None of them spoke any french. Any. In Niger's capital.
Then people fishing in river Niger, just in front of the ministry for mines and energy. Subsistence economy and uranium...
Enough?

Agrigento

A short walk outside my hotel, before breakfast. It's something I often do when travelling. Agrigento could be beautiful, but the old town is left to itself, the new part has been ruthlessly built. Oh yes, there's a closed Morandi bridge too.
